⭐ Reader Reviews — The Children's Dream
A surprisingly ordinary tale of an Orthodox Jewish family, living in Poland on the Eve of WW2. Its simplicity is heart warming and beautiful. It is a well-written book, and I really can't wait to start the next book in this series. I would recommend this book to anyone that is interested in the second World War.
I couldn't put this book down. It was both heartwarming and heartbreaking the further I read into the book. I am looking forward to the second book of this series.
How could I put this book down? So many stories within a story, each one had me waiting to find out what was going to happen. Love, obedience and the tragic consequences kept me reading.
⭐ Reader Reviews — Mengele's Apprentice
This is the 2nd book in a 3 part series. "Mengele's Apprentice" was divided into three parts and it is masterful the way it all comes together. Parts of it are quite heartbreaking; however, that is just one thing that makes the book so wonderfully powerful. I was sad when it ended and cannot wait for the third book! Thank you, Roberta Kagan!!
Mengele's Apprentice is a fast paced book set during World War II. This is my first book by Roberta Kagan, but it won't be my last. I recommend this book to mature readers.
Characters, interactions and plot were splendidly described. The ending was quite abrupt and it left me eager to follow up with the sequel. All this author's works have been excellent and I look forward to each one.
⭐ Reader Reviews — The Auschwitz Twins
What can I say about this book other than I couldn't put it down. It was so unbelievably hard to read at times that I had to put it down but had to pick it right up again. I actually cried on and off throughout the book.
This was an interesting and well written story, but also very difficult to read about the horror these innocent people had to endure. Perhaps books like this will help us remember what happened so it is not repeated.
Heartfelt story of hatred and love. This story shows just a glimpse of the horrors the Jews had to endure during World War II. Well written and a good read.
